NBC10 News- 11/11 @ 5:30
I’m excited to share that I have been invited back to the NBC 10 studios for a follow up interview on their “Work at Home Jobs that Work” series representing the VA industry.
The show is hosted by Tracy Davidson (one of my faves, and an Emmy Award Winning Journalist!) The interview will be a few minutes long, and I hope to cover alot of ground in that time. Talking points I plan to include are:
- What is a Virtual Professional?
- How Can I take my skills out of the office?
- What to expect when you launch.
- Setting reasonable expectations about this home-based business.
- Tips for a great home office setup.
- Fixes for loneliness (from working remotely).
I also plan to mention a couple of exciting new updates including:
- Our VA Business Startup Consulting packages and Ebook
- Our new EE “Co-Working” Field trips, currently scheduled to start on 12/3.
Be sure to tune in, and check our vlog for updates as well!
What is it about growth?
What is it exactly about growth that is both exhilarating and exhausting?
In my business I have dedicated the last two years of my life to its success, ensuring that the i’s were dotted and the t’s crossed. While I know that all of the changes we have made at DVBS were in the interest of growth, it was interesting to see the response from my peers, existing clients and potential clients. Even more interesting, was my response! Growing the business was definitely a calculated step outside of my comfort zone. It was like taking a very huge step into the unknown… which was difficult for a “planner” such as me!
Turns out.. growth is not so bad! I have been challenged in ways I never would have been, had I stayed in my comfy VA box. I have been forced to face the fact that greatness takes more than just hard work. I had to learn what my weaknesses were, and attack them by surrounding myself with an unfaltering team whose contributions are what have brought DVBS to the next level. I may be at the helm, but my team is manning the sails.
Growth is all about change, “survival of the fittest” at its best. Through the process of growing DVBS, I was able to identify what it is that entrepreneurs (like me) really need to make their businesses successful- aside from a great biz idea. These are the same things that I found I needed for my success. This journey has not only defined DVBS, it has defined what it is that we will offer our clients. Quality, commitment and all of the key team players needed to bring your business to the next level, as I have.
Here’s to our mutual success!

CHARLES DUBOIS: The important thing is this: To be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what we could become.
JOHN F. KENNEDY: Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.
